The function of a fuel injector is to deliver the fuel precisely to the inside of the engine for combustion. A truck rail fuel injector is a simple solenoid valve. When the electromagnetic coil is energized, the suction will be generated while the needle valve and the nozzle hole open. The fuel is ejected in the form of a mist at a high speed through the annular gap between the needle and the nozzle hole at the head of the needle valve, which is conducive to full combustion.
There are two injection methods for a fuel injector: the intake manifold injection, and the cylinder direct injection. Both of these two methods have the same injector structure, but the pressure they bear is different. The pressure of the intake manifold oil line is usually 2-8 kg, and the oil pressure after daily flameout will be 1 kg. This is also a parameter to judge whether there is a problem with the oil circuit. The direct injection in the cylinder is a high-pressure injection, and its pipeline oil pressure can reach 24-200 kg. Both the two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. As the intake manifold injection is injected into the intake pipe and then enters the engine through the valve, it has the function of cleaning the valve while the combustion is more sufficient during the process of long-distance driving, which is not conducive to the generation of carbon deposits. However, the fuel injection is not accurate enough for a long time of driving, which will lead to the problem of increasing the fuel consumption and decreasing the power.
